Michael A. Hanzman is a judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court, Juvenile Division, in Florida. He was appointed by Governor Rick Scott on May 23, 2011 to replace the late Judge Maynard A. Gross. Hanzman was officially sworn in on December 16, 2011. He was elected in 2012 and his current term expires in January of 2019.

Hanzman received his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and his J.D. degree from the University of Florida College of Law.

Hanzman began his career in 1985, working with the law firm of Floyd, Pearson, Richman, Greer, Weil. He then practiced with Zack, Hanzman, Ponce, Tucker, Korge and Gillespie from 1990 to 1994, with Hanzman and Criden from 1994 to 2007, and was of counsel with Ackerman, Link and Sartory from 2008 until he was appointed to the circuit court in 2011.
